The websites you visit, your passwords, browsing history, downloaded files,
and much more are all stored in your browser. Your PC gets slower as a result
of this data building up over time. Frequently clearing your browser's cache,
cookies, and history is a good idea. Additionally, this frees up some space on
your PC, safeguards your personal data, removes extraneous data, and enhances
computer performance.
Let's look at how to clear the cache, cookies, and history from your browser.
1. FOR CHROME
Open Chrome on your PC and click on the three-dot button in the upper
right corner
Select More Tools and Clear Browsing Data.
Select all these boxes: browsing history, download history, cookies
and other site data.
You can also go to Basic Settings to re-check and click on the time range drop-down menu.
You can choose the one according to your
preference, but in case of clearing your cache, select All time.
Finally, click on the Clear data button.
2. FIRE FOX
click on the hamburger menu at the top right corner.
Then select Privacy and Security option from the left panel. And then scroll below to Cookies and Site Data.
Check the box that says Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed, and click on Clear Data.
3. ON SAFARI
If you use Safari, then go to the top menu and select History > Clear History.
Now select the time period you want to clear and click on Clear History.
All your browsing history and cache will be deleted.
While logging back into your favourite websites after clearing your browser's cache, cookies, and history may be a hassle, doing so will improve your computer's performance, which may make it worthwhile.
